Assignment Description

• The Project Manager will report to the Chief Executive of School Support Services and be responsible for driving the execution of OSSS Illumination Project. The Project Manager will be liaison between the implementation team and Chief Executive of OSSS to ensure that the established goals are being met.
• The project Manager must have outstanding organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and have demonstrated success in managing complex teams to profitability.
• Specifically, it is expected that the Project Manager will be proficient and have demonstrated success in the following three areas:

Project Management

• Can understand and enhance project vision as well as communicate it to others.
• Develop schedules for task and overall project completion
• Think creatively about tackling obstacles as they arrive
• Work well with staff, both inside and outside the OSSS, in order to elicit necessary cooperation

Marketing & General Business Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of Food Service applications
• Understanding of relationship between Food Service Systems and budget control needs

Information Technology Knowledge

• Understanding of fundamentals of Information Technology
• Ability to develop cohesive IT plan drawing upon multiple data sources

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ Years of Cost Management experience
• 5+ Years of Change Management experience

Knowledge of OSSS Operations:

• Understanding of New York City pupil transportation & School Food System
• Knowledge of OSSS relationships with vendors and contract compliance
