Key relationships:

The Business Analyst/Project Manager will have primary relationships with the PMO team, business partners, and the leads of the other project work streams (IT application development, training, IT infrastructure, deployment, finance, contracting, etc.) internal/external vendors and the executive leadership and management teams of the effected business areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business cases for projects, identifying stakeholders and defining scope, opportunities, proposed solutions, benefits and risks;
• Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
• Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
• Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
• Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
• Develop test cases for projects as part of requirement analysis; responsible for managing user acceptance testing phase of the project;
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the project’s performance.
• Coordinate all aspects of a highly complex project workstream(s) including project planning, execution, communication, functionality, quality, risk, schedule, and cost
• Manage stakeholder communications and the project scope change control process
• Ensure that key stakeholders measure proposed solutions against benefits and risks to make decisions
• Coordinate multiple interdependent work streams simultaneously in a single project plan using Microsoft Project
• Ensure the identification and timely resolution to project issues, problems and change requirements;

Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years experience is required.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in the management of complex IT centric business projects integrating a package solution with business process change, staff training, hardware implementation  and IT infrastructure elements; or
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) information technology experience of which at least 2 years must have been as described in “1” above; or
• A master’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college may substitute for one year of experience.  However, all candidates must have at least one year of satisfactory (not classroom based) full-time information technology experience as described in “1” above.

Preferred:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent
• Knowledge of the food service or business logistics (e.g., inventory, supply chain) industry
• Experience in the public sector
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, e.g., Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
