Job Title: Senior Java J2EE Developer

Location: Lansing, MI

Required:

· Solid Java and J2EE development skills with 7+ years J2EE experience.
· Solid 4+ years’ experience in SQL and Oracle.
· Comprehensive knowledge of Web design patterns and front end technologies like HTML5, JQuery and MVC framework like Struts/Spring.
· Solid understanding of the java collections framework.
· Object-oriented and service-oriented design concepts, including knowledge of data transfer objects and associated design patterns.
· Knowledge of UML.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements and work with end users/customers.
· Ability to work in a semi-structured environment where requirements and priorities are dynamic.
· Experience with agile development methodology.
· Good understanding of junit testing and continuous integration environment.
· Recent experience with Oracle Weblogic 10.3.x or greater.
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

Highly Desirable:

· Experience with Test Driven Design (TDD) methodology.
· JavaServer Faces (JSF) technology knowledge and experience.
· Experience with Web Logic Portal technology.
· Experience with Java Message Service (JMS) and Message Driven Bean (MDB) development is preferred.
· Working knowledge of developing and deploying applications in Weblogic portal environment.
· Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and experience working with web services.
· US Citizenship
· Experience in the insurance industry, specifically with the health care industry.

Role: RPG / iSeries Programmer

Location: Rochester, MN

Job Description:

Client is seeking to hire an experienced programmer to come join our team down in southeastern, MN to work for one of our premier healthcare clients. This person will provide level 2 and some level 3 support of standard, operational processes. This person must be capable of making programming modifications related to both production support as well as discretionary enhancements in response to user requests.

Client solutions runs on the IBM iSeries, and uses the following technologies:

· RPG programming language – Must be expert

o ILE and free form experience required

o DDS

o Subfiles

· SQL – Must be expert
· Command language – Must have. Will probably come by default with mastery of RPG and SQL
· Operations vendor support – Very nice to have. Depends on iSeries system knowledge. Typically requires systems engineering experience.
· Other system maintenance and support as assigned
· Must have experience with

o Rational Developer for Power

o Job scheduling

o Version control

o Code migration from development to test and production

o Change management practices

**The candidate has:

(1) Aldon change management experience

(2) SQL/ embedded SQL on the iSeries

(3) Serious SQL skills are needed at Mayo because their data is scattered

(4) Some working knowledge of Microsoft TFS would be helpful.
