Job Title: .NET (CatDV) Developers
Duration: 3 months
Location: New York City, NY

Job Description:
  • Must have 3-5 years of commercial software development experience with the Microsoft stack (.NET, C#, SQL)
  • Must have experience being and consuming REST web services
  • Familiarity with digital video technologies including CatDV, Telestream, Pipeline encoder, Facilis Terrablock and or ProRes,


System Requirements
  • Client is a Microsoft house and in order to support API's that are developed we require it to be created in .NET programming language.
  • The back end structure of the Client's database is programmed in SQL.
  • Currently Client is manually populating fields in CatDV, but we require the API that is developed to pre-populate new catalog pages with metadata from our business system.
  • The API is required to be bi-directional so it can pull information as well as write back to the business system tables.
  • The particular information is time code edit points, running times and authorization codes as an example
  • Authorization Codes (Required for Verification for Continuing Education)
  • The API needs to have a function that can create randomly selected pre-recorded numbers to build a six digit authorization code that can be inserted into the timeline of the MP3/4 archives for continuing legal education compliance.
  • We currently have written a program to perform this task in environment.
  • We need to have this feature in the new workflow.


Slide Synchronization
  • A method of creating an "event marker will need to be written to CatDV every time a PowerPoint slide is changed during a live webcast.
  • This is matched up against the archived file in order to have a synced slide presentation for the on demand files.
  • Currently we are using Windows events to trigger slide changes, but we would be open to any method that can work within CatDV.


Browsing Assets
  • Finally, we require we require a secure way to share access to the video assets inside and outside of the organization
