Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: NYC, NY

Job Description:

• Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) is responsible for managing Client’s Technology Infrastructure, including network, data centers, servers, storage, mainframe and desktops.
• The TIS Productivity Program is a sub-department within TIS, responsible for driving efficiencies and improvements across TIS.
• The Infrastructure Project Manager will manage the work streams within the TIS Productivity Program working on a complex global project.

The role will comprise:

• Project Management for complex global projects managing deliverables all work streams and project team members
• Successfully (i.e. delivery of agreed scope at expected quality on time and budget or raise Change Request appropriately) manage TPP project(s)
• Ensure the solution being delivered by the project aligns with TIS and Bank strategy and raise risks, issues and/or change request if measures indicate that the solution is likely to underachieve the stated performance goals
• Manage any dependency of the project(s)
• Follow the CS standard methodologies, where applicable and complete all required program and project management deliverables and artifacts
• Status report in line with TPP guild and timelines
• Provide full transparency of the project to the right stakeholders
• Create a Stakeholder Management plan and Communications Plan across TIS and Application Development teams
• Ensure appropriate governance is in place and followed, and regularly engage with & communicate to the governing body
• Partner with project sponsors, stakeholder and TPP program to ensure TPP success and TIS benefits from the TPP initiative
• Proactively suggest TPP improvement by bringing them to the attention of the program leadership team
• Select and onboard appropriately skilled resources to successfully deliver the project

Subject Matter Expert Role Includes:

• Providing thought leadership on approach to manage projects with the support of project SME's and architects
• Challenge each project on how benefits can be realized earlier or how additional benefits can be achieved

Essential Required Work Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience of Project Managers or performing delivery management in IT and Financial Services Required
• Systems development life cycle (SDLC)
• Vendor, testing and release management
• Ability to facilitate working groups with strong and varying views on how capacity management should be implemented
• Experience of Global Project, Delivery or PMO Management
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Good written and verbal communication
• Good collaboration and client focus
• Strong presentation development skills
• High standards and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
• A strong team player
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate coordination of processes and work collaboratively
• Comfortable working with people up to MD level
• Strong process and data analysis skills
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as Visio, skills in SharePoint usage & development desirable but not a must criteria

Desirable Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:

• Familiarity with process design and process engineering

Required Education and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Science).
• Learning how to and gaining experience in managing a large scale program
• Develop a better understanding of IT infrastructure services and associated challenges
• Exposure to senior IT infrastructure leaders
• Opportunity to grow PM capability
• Exposure to the global TIS team
