Job Title: Sr. Java Developer - Play Framework

Location: New York, NY, US

Position Functions or Responsibilities:

  • Senior Java Developer or hands on architect experienced with web technologies and Play framework to lead a team of developers in the development of web portal.
  • Creative and innovative in defining new designs and approaches to development
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing distributed applications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience performing in a lead role on major projects
  • Proactive problem solver working with little to no direction
  • Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Java/J2EE
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Development-Agile Methodologies
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in UX Architecture-Web Design
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Apache Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with SOA concepts, design, tools, techniques, best practices
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with database related development in Oracle 11G and PL-SQL
  • Must have knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
