Position: Java/J2EE Architect

Location: Stamford, CT

Job Description:

• This is a Java lead role suitable for a generalizing specialist with primary skills in Java, Oracle, unit testing driven development and agile software development. 
• They must also have a wide range of secondary skills, including a sound understanding of financial products, accounting basics and regulatory reporting.  
• Role needs hands-on engineer and as a team lead.
• ProgrammingExpert level software engineer with experience in Core Java ( Basic Java concepts, Collection framework, Multithreading) - 
• MUST have good hands on and in depth knowledge.
• DB : Oracle SQL/PLSQL coding. 
• Unit testing tools :  Junit, mockito, fitnesse  (Working knowledge of Junit is a must) 
• Others :  Maven, Unix 
• Dev methodologies: Exposure to Agile, Test driven development.Able to do code reviews and mentor other team members.
• TestingThe application is developed using strict unit and acceptance test driven development. 

Skill and Experience Details:

Java - Architecting

• Should be able to appreciate complex business scenarios for a particularline of business involving more than one projects in respective domain liketelecom or enterprise or financial solutions and come out with robust, scalabletechnology architecture solutions and technically guide the implementation teamthroughout the SDLC
• Should have Big picture in business &  technology andpropose technology solution that is cost effective, align with orgnanisationstrategy and remove redundancy and duplication. 
• Work closely with customertechnology organization, conduct technology portfolio assesment and providetechnology road map 
• Should be able to propose architecture involvinghetrogeneous technology platforms - open standard like Java or Microsoft orlegacy platforms like mainframes etc.
• Should be comfortable in providingphysical and logical architecture sizing and recommend right hardware servers,softwares, products and third party tools 
• Look at application consolidationacross the line of business to provide business with suitable technologyalternatives involving Java / J2EE technologies and other technology asinterfaces.
• Should be able to provide cost effective, open standard, highlysecured multi-platform, multi-data source, multi-channel solutions consideringVirtualization, agrregatation, automation and simplification principles acrossfor customer line of business. 
• Deliver competitive, winning solutions,Enhance Customer Credibility and Relationships, Bridge to Global CoE?s, Createdomain specific technology competencies, Champion career growth fortechnologically aligned associates, Provide avenues for participation increation and managing high end ? design, architectural solutions. Provideresources the opportunity to participate on different forms of technologyaspects across projects within the sub-verticals as well as across sub-verticals. 
• Own Market Engagement Services like RFI, RFP, ParticipationCustomer-site visits and presentations
• Requirements, Architecture andDesign Services - J2EE and .Net based Application Architecture, EAI andMessaging Architectures, Database modeling, design, performance, scalability,Performance Engineering, Architecture Guidance and Review, Emerging Technology? RFID, In-Store Analytics 
• Process Capability Engineering - EngineeringProcess Framework for Delivery, including Vanguard Process Methodology PoCDevelopment, Automated Tools and Systems for Engineering Lifecycle Management,Process Monitoring and Review 

Java-J2EE

• Should be able to architect a solution in this technology area fora given problem statement. 
• In depth knowledge of mutli tire architecture.
• Should be able to design and architect solution around J2EE, should be wellversed with stacking and layering of architecture modeling, should beconversent with decsion making in terms of technology comparision with J2EEtechnologies
• Should be able to understand customer business requirements andpropose optimal solutions around J2EE technologies focusing on simplifications,virtualization, aggregation and automation.
