Position Functions or Responsibilities:

Our Virginia Beach based client is looking for an experience Sr. Systems Analyst who performs analysis and recommends solutions while coordinating activities on multiple initiatives.

The qualified candidate will:

• Perform requirements analysis, identify potential solutions and work with various technical teams to support and implement identified initiatives
• Act as a liason among stakeholders to analyse, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements
• Develop requirements documents
• Develop schedules to meet established deadlines
• Conduct Gap Analysis and identify Business Process Improvements
• Work with other departments to understand the business requirements to offer options that will meet the organization's needs
• Develop Business Cases, Requests for Proposals, Business Requirements and other related documentation
• Document Business processes and activity diagrams with modeling
• Work with Business Owners to develop test cases and manage the testing process for various initiatives.  Develops Test and Acceptance Plans
• Develops schedules to meet established deadlines
• Have a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into solution requirements
• Provide explanatory charts and graphs as requested
• Utilize modern tools of systems analysis to conduct thorough feasibility and cost benefit analysis studies; implement modern management techniques
• Participate in task groups as directed to coordinate special projects or initiatives; conduct meetings and present presentations to small and large audiences as directed to communicate information or progress in specific areas

In addition, the qualified candidate must be able to effectively:

• Direct or explain the appropriate/needed business and technical information to management
• Present both formal and informal training as needed
• Interface with other department and vendor personnel
• Manage time and resources allocated on the assigned initiative by providing direction and supervision when needed
• Provide weekly status reports in a timely manner
• Conduct meetings as needed
• Make thorough presentations when requested
• Thoroughly research literature on new or proposed work as related to an initiative

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years experience as Systems Analyst
• Minimum8 years experience with Business Requirements
• Minimum 8 years experience with Process Improvement
