Position: UI Developer

Location: Addison, IL

Job Description:

·         Essential skill is Photoshop.

·         Seeking talented user interface designer to work within a development team focused on delivering the next generation of display applications.

·         Candidate will become part of a rapidly-expanding interface development effort providing graphical interface solutions to serve a variety of applications and products within the construction equipment and mining industries. 

·         Responsibilities include building customer and business requirements needed to create unique interface solutions.

·         Expected within this role is the ability to incorporate input from multiple sources including machine operators, corporate marketing and engineering to optimize the user experience for our customers.

·         Creatively adapt new interfaces forms based on current interface conditions and guidelines to complement a developing interface family appearance.

·         Construct and facilitate user evaluations to prove and refine the concept models to include communication of the results.

·         Provide documentation of the tested UI designs for production software development.

·         Collaboration within the team working to standardize user interfaces providing ease-of-use and a consistent look for the product applications.

Key competencies

·         Experience in creating User Centric Design solutions

·         Ability to work closely with usability team members, product managers, product development teams and other internal stakeholders to communicate an understanding of the requirements and review prototypes of intended UI designs

·         Experience with collecting user research, applying persona and conducting usability testing

·         Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team

·         Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering proven interfaces within the program time constraints

·         Photo shop or equivalent graphical editor experience desired

·         UI modeling software experience a plus
