Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Description:

• Work at a senior level to coordinate and lead assigned projects in all technical and communication aspects in order to finalize them according to company requirements and within deadlines
• Planning and engineering of the company’s systems infrastructure
• Implement and maintains data security on the infrastructure
• Implement, integrate, and support customer infrastructure and applications
• Interfaces between customers and hardware/service providers
• Reporting on progress, issues, and problems to the supervisor; giving suggestions to optimize service
• Responsible for monitoring the performance of the server platform and making technical recommendations on improvements if necessary
• Participate in an on-call rotation and work non-standard hours when necessary
• Advanced knowledge of backup infrastructures on Windows and Linux platforms
• Advanced knowledge of Citrix
• Experience with Active Directory/Group Policy design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Windows Servers; design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM); design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Name and Directory Services (e.g. DNS, WINS, LDAP)
• Experience with Server and Desktop virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare vSphere, VDI)
• Experience with Microsoft Lync infrastructure
• Advanced Experience in Microsoft Exchange; clustering, HA, design, upgrades, etc.
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN routing and security protocols
• Experience with scripting and delivering custom solutions when necessary
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
• Exposure to ITIL concepts (ticket management, CAB, etc.) and working in a global setting
