Position : Business Analyst - Claims 

Location: LA, California

Job Description:

• Business Analyst with experience in P&C industry with at least 1 project in Claims; 8 –  12 years experience in IT
• Knowledge of Commercial and/or Work Comp areas
• Must have thorough understanding of RUP and use cases
• Experience in production support, maintenance and development projects
• Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan Drives day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities, working with business.
• Defines project scope; Prepares Business Requirements document, Develops functional and non-functional specifications, Use Cases, Reports Specifications, Interface Specifications, Wireframes, Screen mockups and specifications
• Understands customers objectives, processes, and products in order to make educated recommendations 
• Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned.
• Ability to work in a cross functional, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and customers
• Supports the Application Subject Matter Experts in development of estimates / validation of suppliers estimates 
• Supports application testing, implementation, and training activities 
• Supports Application SME in creating the Conceptual Design of system, where appropriate.
• Understand the SDLC process and supports the project manager in developing the project plan.

Position : Senior Business Analyst - PLA

Location: LA California

Job Description:

• At least 12+ years of P&C experience with comprehensive knowledge of P&C Personal Lines Policy Systems.
• Experience in leadership roles preferably managing a team of BAs or BSAs. Previous IT consulting experience is a plus
• Must be able to manage stakeholder expectations in a cross functional, multi-vendor, matrixed IT organization
• Expected to lead a team of BAs in addition to working on individual assignments
• Work with senior management and be responsible for defining strategic solution
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs
• Must be expert in use cases; knowledge of wireframes preferred
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
