Job Title: Senior Citrix Engineer

Location: Troy, MI

Duration: Long Term

Type: Contract to Hire / Full Time

Job Description:

• Experience with Citrix technologies including:
• XenServer
• XenApp
• XenDesktop
• Experience with complimentary add-on products including NetScaler, Provisioning Server and Secure Gateway.
• Extensive enterprise-level experience designing, implementing, migrating and managing all sizes of Citrix environments.
• Experience with Microsoft server technologies utilizing Active Directory (Windows 200x), Windows 200x Server, Windows XP Professional and in particular Terminal Services.
• Experience with server virtualization.
• Possess administration skills experience with VMWare technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft ISA and IIS and VOIP technologies.
• Working knowledge of many network application services and protocols including; FTP/S, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN with Cisco routers, various firewalls, switches, secure network access methods, all types of hardware, disaster recovery plan creation, network security policy creation and overall IT management.
• Knowledge of Windows 2000 & XP, Windows 2003/8 Server with clustering, DNS, WINS, IPHELPER, Active Directory integration and replication.
• Knowledge of all Citrix versions including Metaframe, XPe and PS 4/4.5/5, Xenapp 5/6/6.5 relating to designs, migrations and implementations.

• Responsibilities:
• Manage Citrix Servers for Desktop Virtualization implementation and ongoing support
• Manage Citrix farms supporting concurrent users
• Document all existing farms, applications and configurations
• SME in Citrix implementations, testing and support
• Mentor other team members on administration of Citrix farms
• Assist in the design and implementation of new hosted desktop environment
• Monitor core services to maintain proper availability, performance and reliability of all Citrix infrastructure
• Create, modify and maintain all of the Group Policies relating to the Citrix environment throughout the enterprise.
