Job Title: COBOL / BMC Lead / Architect

Location: Austin, TX, US

Position Functions or Responsibilities:

• Must have BMC ARC experience
• The COBOL/BMC Development Lead / Architect will be responsible for -
• Analyzing code to identify required changes and checkpoints making changes to existing COBOL Batch programs/jobs to include calls to BMC Restart utility
• Responsible for managing a team of 4 developers
• Planning & execution
• Will be responsible for executing and participating in analysis, coding and testing.
• May be required to develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Strong experience with BMC ARC for DB2 is required along with COBOL.

Required Qualifications:

• Mainframe - BMC - DB2 Utilities
• Cobol

Other Required Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum Years 5 yrs. experience  with BMC Application Restart Control for DB2
• Minimum Years 3 yrs. experience Managing Checkpoint strategies
• Minimum Years 5 yrs. experience coding DB2 Checkpoint restart utility calls within COBOL Batch environment
• Minimum Years 3 yrs. experience Maintaining and Enhancing COBOL/DB2
• Minimum Years 1 yr. experience with Load/Unload/Compare Utilities
• Minimum Years 2 yrs. experience developing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts
