Job Description:
- The Information Security Officer (ISO) assists members and their employees in utilizing information effectively while protecting its confidentiality and ensuring the appropriate use.
- He/She is the central coordinator of information security for Client. The ISO provides leadership in matters of information security and confidentiality.
- He/She identifies and reports the status of information security including problem areas and recommended enhancements to the Client Corporate Compliance Committee with oversight responsibility for information security.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a major - or field of interest - in information technology.
- Certified Information Systems Security Personnel (CISSP) required.
- A minimum of four years of information technology experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of personal computer applications for word processing, database and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) preferred.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of Information Technology.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- A firm believer in protecting the confidentiality of patient-related, business-related and employee-related information.
