Job Description:

Client is seeking Virtual Infrastructure and Windows Storage Administrators responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity and performance of all storage services. Architect, design, plan, implement, administer, control, and provide support and optimization of SAN and pooled storage systems in a Virtual Infrastructure. Provide daily storage support, technical assistance and troubleshooting support to other teams. This may include troubleshooting software, hardware, performance, or allocation issues.

Qualification Requirements:

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in a computer science or related field or engineering field and minimum eight years of full-time satisfactory experience in managing large-scale enterprise SAN / NAS storage and good knowledge of other systems areas (networking, operating systems, virtual infrastructure, databases, application development) and capacity planning; or
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or recognized accrediting organization and minimum eight years of experience as described in "1" above; or
• A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to "1", or "2" above.
• All candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or recognized accrediting organization and must possess the required experience as described above.
• Relevant certification(s).

Skills desired:

• Experience with Design, Architecture, Planning, Sizing, Implementation of Secure Virtual Infrastructure (particularly vSphere 4.xi / 5.xi ) for 24/7 mission critical applications
• Experience with Design, Architecture, Planning, Sizing, Implementation of secure Storage Area Network (SAN/NAS - particularly NetApp, Oracle, Equallogic) for 24/7 mission critical applications
• Hands on experience with Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting  of Physical Infrastructure for a Secure Virtual Infrastructure ( especially on Dell, HP servers)
• Hands on experience with Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting  of Virtual Infrastructure including SAN/NAS, VMs, SAN Fabrics with Cisco switches & detailed understanding of F/C,  iSCSI,  NFS, CIFS,  NDMP protocols, configuration of MSCS with ALUA & non ALUA LUNS
• Extensive knowledge & hands on experience of various options for secure, redundant highly available Virtual Infrastructure (particularly VMware HA-DRS, FT, MSCS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, SRM, DPM, Array based replication for DR & Business Continuity)
• Extensive knowledge of Security,  D2D2T backup & restore, DE duping, Rule based archiving and disaster recovery for Virtual Infrastructure (particularly VMware Data Recovery, Snapshot Management, Backup & Restore at VM level and file level)
• Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure including Desktop/Laptop & Application Virtualization (particularly VMware View, ThinApps & Windows 2012 RDS )
• Hands on experience with Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting  of various Guest Operating Systems with secure, high availability, redundant configuration with boot from SAN/NAS options
• Experience in version upgrade, critical updates, capacity upgrade, etc., for Physical & Virtual Infrastructure & SAN/NAS devices
• Experience in Remote Management, Reporting, Performance Tuning, Health Checks, Real time Alerts, Pro Active Maintenance to ensure highly available 24/7 virtual infrastructure & SAN/NAS devices
• Detail knowledge of SAN Fabrics, LUN Masking, Zoning, QOS, Traffic Shaping, Load balancing policies for efficient delivery of Virtual Infrastructure resources
• Extensive knowledge & hands on knowledge of various methods for guaranteed resources for Virtual Machines
• Experience in migration of business critical application environment from physical infrastructure to Virtual Infrastructure
• Experience in Installation, Administration, Troubleshooting of Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory  to provide Authorization & Authentication
• Experience in Installation, Administration, Troubleshooting of various Network Services like DNS, DHCP, FTP, SNMP, WINS, SCCM, SCOM
• Experience in implementation and administration of secure environment using firewalls, Routers, IPsec, NAP/NAC, SSL Certificates, Domain based authentication
• Familiarity with IIS 7, IIS 8, SQL 2005/2008/2012, Network Management/Monitoring tools, documentation, scripting for task automation
• Experience with Virtualization Assessments, consolidation estimates and TCO/ROI for multiple Virtual Infrastructure products from various vendors
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Prepare and document systems architecture and communicate architecture to business stakeholders & management
• Good written and oral communication skills
