Job Description:

As a Build/Release Engineer, you will play a key role in our release process by improving the build, deployment, and release infrastructure. We are looking for a trusted resource who can create solutions, advocate release standards, and enforce quality build processes for successful code deployments. We need a team player who can work cross functionally with Development, QA and Operations to successfully push software from development to production deployment. You will use your experience to increase productivity as well as research, design and implement solutions that make our development process state of the art. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

•  Design, implement and manage the build environment and tools.

•  Support and improve our tools for continuous build, automated testing, and release management 

•  Work closely with QA, Product Management and Development teams to identify, prioritize, and drive issues to resolution quickly 

•  Improve the effectiveness of our build and release cycle through the development, tracking, and reporting of metrics 

•  Own, manage, and improve our release process with a focus on scale and efficiency 

•  Build and maintain tools needed during release pushes 

•  Automate repeatable tasks.

Desired Skills & Experience:

•  3-4 years’ experience with software engineering, release engineering, release automation  and azure deployments

•  Experience in building/Automation of Azure deployments.

•  Strong understanding of TFS Builds and TFS Builds activities  

•  Experience with infrastructure automation/build and deployment  tools 

•  Extensive knowledge of C#, 

•  Scripting ability with one or more languages (Power shell, VB scripts) 

•  Expertise with build automation tools.

•  Working knowledge of Azure  databases  and Azure Cloud Services

•  Team player and tenacious problem solver with a strong commitment to customer service 

•  Strong written and verbal communication skills

All of these in a Windows 7 migration project with minimum 10,000 user base organization is mandatory.

• Candidate should have experience working on large scale Windows 7 migration projects. ( Minimum 2 to 3 years experience with Windows 7 migration projects)
• Needs to work with end users & business users to gather functional & business requirements.
• Work with the project team to convert these requirements to deliverables ( Especially during discovery & application rationalization phase)
• Candidates with project management experience on large windows 7 migration projects are also ok.
• Co-ordinate with business & end users for UAT and application compatibility tests.
• Create Systems Integration Test Scripts for all solutions that are created & developed by Wipro. 
• Coordinate with Application owners for their SIT & UAT testing
