Job Description:

·          Designs, implements, evaluates and audits project management processes and templates for the project management office (PMO). Compiles metrics relating to IT project success, project attributes, and individual productivity and adherence to defined processes. May track costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met. Serves as a resource to project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes.

·          Provides administrative support to project managers and project leaders. Ensures project control systems are in place and integrates project data for decision makers. Administers and maintains project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project Server). Organizes and publishes project-related documentation in various sources. Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practices such as those defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

·          Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of project support/management experience.

·          Senior Data Center project manager to plan, lead and manage the successful delivery of Data Center and infrastructure projects. This senior resource needs to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, familiar with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Strong client facing skills and an acute understanding of consulting and project management disciplines

·         Develop and maintain detailed project plans while adhering to Atos project methodology

·         Ensure that projects meet timeline and budget requirements, using tools such as MS Project, Excel

·         Identify and secure resources as required, maintain skills and knowledge required to meet project objectives

·         Prepare and effectively communicate appropriate reports and updates to management

·         Facilitate the resolution of issues

·         Escalate issues to project stakeholders as required

·         Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders

·         Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation

·         Manage project scope and document scope changes in order to obtain approval for incremental costs prior to performing work

Expert-level proficiency in the following:

·         Microsoft Project and Visio

·         Systems Development/Integration Fundamentals

·         Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel)

·         Familiarity with internet and client server architectures

Requirements

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred

·         Strong people skills

·         Demonstrated ability in using MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio

·         Deep understanding of project management methodology (e.g. PMBOK)

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills
